Why Should You Pay $119.95 For A LED Light Bulb?
After Earth Hour, it is high time to start thinking of a greener way to put light in you life! With the economic crisis it is also high time to save money. You might think going green is a necessity to protect the earth, but that it is expensive. Think again. Reducing electricity costs while protecting the environment is easy. A LED (light-emitting diode) light bulb which uses half the energy of a compact fluorescent bulb (CFL), contains no hazardous mercury or lead and lasts for up to ten years of daily use is exactly what you need.
The newbie we recommend is the new GeoBulb recently introduced by C.Crane. The Geobulb will soon be available on Greenzer, but in the meantime you can find it here. It uses only 7.5 Watts of power to produce as much light as a 60-watt incandescent bulb. No mercury or lead, the GeoBulb uses only about 10% of the power of incandescent bulbs and about half of a comparable CFL. It generates very little heat and is an eco-responsible way to light up your life. The GeoBulb costs $119.95, but with a lifespan of 10 years with eight hours of daily use it actually makes it less expensive to purchase and operate than a traditional incandescent bulb. For maximum energy and money savings, go LED!
Did you know that the hourly cost of an incandescent bulb is only about a penny? Yet, using these incandescent bulbs will cost you more money than you think. The average American has 45 light bulbs in their home. With frequent use the numbers can quickly add up. The short lifespan of the incandescent light bulbs also means you will need to buy these more frequently. No need to make the math, but your electrical bill will increase each month without you even realizing it. Besides, every time you turn on a light, you are burning fossil fuels that release greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. These carbon emissions have a massive negative impact on the environment. In 30,000 hours of use, your total costs for using incandescent light bulbs in a fixture (including replacements needed during that time) could add up to about $200 which is more than the initial cost of the new Geobulb.

Saving money is one reason for switching to LED light bulbs, but the environmental effects are incalculable. If every American replaced just one of their ‘old school’ light bulbs with a compact fluorescent lamp (CFL), enough energy would be saved to light over 3 million homes for a year! But CFLs have a dark side called mercury. Yet, CFLs will tide us over until LEDs become more accessible. It is the end of the light bulb as you know it. America is committed to phasing out ‘bad’ bulbs by 2014. Why wait until the last minute to unscrew your incandescent light bulbs? Switch to green light bulbs now.
LED bulbs are pricey, but you can quickly recover the cost. LEDs could lower your electrical bill up to 20%. On top of that, these bulbs of the future are the most energy-efficient light bulbs. Easily recycled and relatively harmless if shattered, these are the most eco-friendly light bulbs on the market. Closer to the color of daylight, these LED bulbs are better for you. It is a great light to work or read under. Think twice the next time you turn your lights on. Green light bulbs are there to relieve your green conscious.

Its our duty to save the environment from getting exploited.Let’s all use better eco-friendly alternatives to save nature.I have already started using LEDs at my place .Time for you to gird up and choose something better.
