Celebrities Gone Green: Reese Witherspoon Stays Photogenic with Phyto

It’s easy to be envious of the tresses of Hollywood’s mega-stars, whose coifs always look polished and pretty thanks to the best hair stylists, flattering lighting and hair products that really do what they say they will (a rare occurrence in the world of sprays, mousses, shampoos and conditioners). Reese Witherspoon is a perfect example, with blond hair that always has a slightly ethereal glow (and, briefly, stunning brunette locks) and you can steal some of her hair success—without having to fork over the money for her mega bucks stylist—by trying the Phyto line.
One of the biggest celeb favorites for glossy locks, Phyto is a French-founded botanical-based line that’s been receiving rave reviews since it debuted in the 50s, and not only does Phyto work wonders on hair, it’s greener than most hair products you’ll find on shelves (don’t you love it when a product is both incredibly effective and good for the planet?).
Witherspoon’s said to love (and use) just about every product from the Phyto line, all of which utilize botanical ingredients instead of un-pronounceable chemicals to achieve perfect hair. And while you may hesitate at the thought of putting ingredients like egg, rum, garlic and horseradish on your head, a couple weeks of using the products will clear up all doubts. Phyto also takes their goal of environmentally-friendly products further by ensuring that the packaging for all the botanical-laden products is 100% recyclable, making the Phyto line green from the inside out.
If you’re not sure which product to start with, try the Phytodefrisant, which tames unruly tresses better than any silicone smoother you’ll find. If you’re still on the fence about springing for Phyto (it will cost you more than what you’ll pick up at the drugstore), Witherspoon has a host of other celebrity Phyto users to back her up on the matter, including big name stars like Oprah, Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Aniston.
