Green Video: National Wildlife Federation Visits Greenland to See Impacts of Global Warming Firsthand

Late last year, the NWF organized a trip to Greenland to see firsthand how global warming is affecting the second-largest body of ice on the planet. The mission of the Americans who traveled to Greenland on this trip is to return home and be able to spread the word about what they witnessed - namely, the rapid melting of ice that will contribute to drastic changes in sea levels. A change in sea level of only a few feet could be disastrous for not only wildlife, but also human inhabitants of low-lying coastal areas.

Day 1’s video explains the mission of the trip, and Day 2 begins to delve into the dramatic experience of seeing (and hearing) the real effects of global climate change.
