Celebrities Gone Green: Nicole Richie Looks Out For the Next Generation

Nicole Richie has come a long way since her Simple Life days, switching gears from the ditzy doppelganger of Paris Hilton to loving mother of her daughter Harlow (with another child on the way). In fact, the once famous-for-nothing reality starlet has been keeping very busy these days with eco-activism on a variety of fronts both at home to across the world.
Richie’s eco-endeavors begin at home with green products that will be as safe for her children as for the planet and that will preserve the planet as much as possible for the future. At a recent environmental charity event in L.A., Richie dished that one of her favorite green products is the chlorine-free diapers from Seventh Generation (she’s also a fan of the line’s natural dishwashing soap and recycled paper towels). Seventh Generation diapers are made from chlorine-free wood pulp, which is not only better for babies’ skin but also prevents dioxin pollution. You won’t find latex, fragrance or toxic addition in Seventh Generation diapers, either, making them a good solution for parents who want the convenience of traditional disposable diapers but in a greener form (although Nicole Richie should consider organic reusable Bum Genius diapers or flushable gDiapers if she wants to get even greener with her next newborn).
