Deux FM Kat Dress is Edgy But Still Innocent

deux-fm-kat-dress

One of the biggest advancements in eco-friendly fashion has been the integration of edgy pieces. Sure, it’s nice to have a flowing maxi dress for summer, but just because you want to wear things that won’t hurt the environment doesn’t mean you should have to live in light, loose-cut clothing that doubles as yoga wear. Thanks to an ever-increasing number of designers with eco-motivation, however, there are green options to suit even the edgiest of us.

A prime example of eco-friendly fashion that doesn’t sacrifice state of the art style is the Canadian-crafted Deux FM line and a perfect offering from the company for women with a flair for something more eye-catching is the Kat dress, which is created entirely from reused and recycled materials. Available in two colors (black and an oatmeal-esque twig), the Kat dress functions as a cocktail dress that blends nice and spice with a demure flared skirt against a more risque fitted bodice, spaghetti straps and on-trend slouchy pockets.

We love everything about the Kat dress, but its textiles should get special praise; recycled fabrics are one of the most underused options for eco-friendly clothing and, in reality, the greenest. Bamboo may use less pesticides in its growth, but once its softened to fabric form the environmental aspect has been seriously diminished, and organic cotton is certainly a better alternative to conventional cotton, but still requires the use of resources. Eco-Friendly Recycled LBD

Would you consider wearing reused and recycled clothing to an event requesting cocktail attire? Would you guess this Kat dress falls into that category? It does. You always need strappy summer dresses for weddings and seasonal celebrations, so why not choose a little black dress that’s made without creating new materials? Deux FM knows how to combine style and ethics so flawlessly that you’d never know.

The Kat cocktail dress has a flattering fit with seaming up top and a flared skirt to add volume on the bottom. And you’ve gotta love any dress than can hold its own in the fancy category and still have pockets. Click here to read more
