Celebrities Gone Green: Emily Deschanel is Green With NVEY ECO

emily-deschanelnvey-eco-makeup

Her sister, Zooey Deschanel, may get a bit more press these days thanks to box office flicks like 500 Days of Summer and musical performances in the group She & Him, but when it comes to the world of green, older sibling Emily Deschanel is the name everyone knows.

The eldest Deschanel adheres to a strict vegan diet, gets around in a Prius, and reveres Ed Begley Jr. as an eco-friendly role model. Even at work on her hit show Bones, Emily Deschanel is always advocating those around her to get greener by using biodegradable plates and utensils and reusable aluminum water bottles (you can also spot her wearing some eco-friendly accessories, like recycled gold necklaces, on screen).

Further dispelling the myth that going green means giving up fashion and beauty products, Emily Deschanel stays on trend in Hollywood without wavering on her environmental lifestyle. Click here to read more

Celebrities Gone Green: Selma Blair’s Not Afraid of A Little Stain

Celebrities, with their movie premieres, parties, photo shoots and film close ups, know a thing or two when it comes to makeup—after all, wearing it is practically part of their jobs (even the guys have to take their turns behind the powder brush). So when a celeb raves about a specific product or deems it worthy enough to make it into their own personal makeup bag, you can be assured that it’s probably pretty good. We’re most impressed, however, when the Hollywood star in question picks a product that’s both beautiful and better for the planet than conventional cosmetics, which tend to be loaded with creepy chemicals. That’s why we were so happy to hear that when actress Selma Blair wants to look a little rosier in the cheeks, she turns to Tarte Natural Beauty Cheek Stain. Click here to read more

Green With Nvey

Daily Greenz #129

We women are constantly searching for the best makeup for our skin, which can be a daunting, time-consuming task, considering that many cosmetics contain harmful ingredients.  Even “organic” or “natural” labels can be misleading, as those products may contain just as many parabens, synthetic preservatives, and chemical-based ingredients as commercial brands.  Thankfully, companies like Nvey Eco are committed to creating all-natural products that are completely free of parabens and anything else that has questionable properties.  Their gentle makeup is formulated from a careful blend of plant and mineral ingredients, natural botanical extracts, and antioxidants, leaving even the most discerning beauty expert very satisfied.  Recolor your spring look for $24 and up at www.econveybeauty.com.
