Recyline’s Preserve Triple Razor: Recycled, Recyclable, Reusable
Daily Greenz #163

Those cheap little packs of small disposable razors many of us buy seem pretty harmless. We use them a few times, the blade gets dull, and then we toss them and grab a new one. But all of that tossing adds up pretty quickly - to 2 billion razors a year, shockingly enough. King C. Gillette’s invention of the disposable razor in 1895 has encouraged us to repeatedly throw away and re-purchase these products, heavily impacting the amount of waste we produce.
Enter the Preserve Triple Razor. This triple-blade razor’s handle is made from 100% recycled plastic, 65% of which comes from Stonyfield Farm yogurt cups. The handles can be used over and over again, attaching a Preserve replacement blade whenever necessary. And when your handle gets a bit grimy, you can recycle it at any location that accepts number 5 plastics. You can even mail them back to Recycline and they’ll take care of it. Plus, the razors’ packaging can be used as a travel case.
