Celebrities Gone Green: Emily Deschanel is Green With NVEY ECO

Her sister, Zooey Deschanel, may get a bit more press these days thanks to box office flicks like 500 Days of Summer and musical performances in the group She & Him, but when it comes to the world of green, older sibling Emily Deschanel is the name everyone knows.

The eldest Deschanel adheres to a strict vegan diet, gets around in a Prius, and reveres Ed Begley Jr. as an eco-friendly role model. Even at work on her hit show Bones, Emily Deschanel is always advocating those around her to get greener by using biodegradable plates and utensils and reusable aluminum water bottles (you can also spot her wearing some eco-friendly accessories, like recycled gold necklaces, on screen).

Further dispelling the myth that going green means giving up fashion and beauty products, Emily Deschanel stays on trend in Hollywood without wavering on her environmental lifestyle. Click here to read more

NVEY ECO Moisturizing Liquid Foundation Helps You Face It

NVEY ECO Moisturizing Liquid Foundation

Once fall rolls around and the dewy humidity disappears (just like those sun-inspired freckles on your nose), along comes the dryness of cooler temperatures and the redness and irritation of skin in transition. In turn, out comes the foundation to cover up dermis difficulties. But with long lists of chemical ingredients that have been shown to irritate skin (like phenoxyethanol)and be toxic for our nervous systems (as in the case of micronized titanium dioxide) and for our skin (cue the propylparabens), some cover-ups may hurt, not help and thus continue the cycle of irritated skin that you want to disguise.

NVEY Eco Moisturizing Liquid Foundation comes from an Australian brand that recently began offering truly organic make-up in the U.S. NVEY Eco Moisturizing Liquid Foundation offers chamomile, cucumber and calendula to soothe and moisturize your face (with a forgiving tint), while rose absolute comes to the rescue of dry and sensitive skin.
