Cards with (Your) Personality

personalized-greeting-card

If you’re needing to send out some “big deal” cards in the near future—whether they’re for a recent graduation, a baby on the way, or a wedding in the works—you’ll be hard pressed to find anything more unique to you than the personalized cards from Britt Benjamin for Red Stamp. All of the cards feature a hand drawing of you based on a photo you send in; not in exact portrait style, but in a fun, playful way that’s reminiscent of caricatures drawn at carnivals or park benches.

We love the Personalized Graduation Announcement for all those who’ll be departing high schools and colleges this month and want to give a quick update to everyone on their plans (as well as perhaps raise some funds for future endeavors), and the Personalized Belly Girl Baby Shower Invitation is cute enough to get any girl excited about playing games involving diapers and baby bottles. For the recently engaged, the Personalized Save-the-Card card would perfectly match a couple focusing their wedding on all things fun, and for the recently married a Personalized Wedding Note Card would be a great platform for thank you notes. Of course, you don’t really need any occasion at all, a basic Personalized Calling Card never goes out of style. Click here to read more

Chocolate Buddha Card Suggests a Different Type of Zen

Chocolate Buddha Card by Seltzer

Part of what holds people back from getting greener is the notion that it will mean sacrificing the things they like to have and the things they like to do;,when in reality what’s needed are modifications of the way we do things and how we buy things. So where some eco-activists might tell you flat-out not to send a no-specific-occasion card to a friend, we’re here to say that if sending a random greeting card to someone you love is something that you love to do or just something that will make their day, do it. Just do it the right way.

We like Seltzer’s simply-designed, slyly-worded cards made with thick, luxurious 100% post-consumer recycled paper and printed using vegetable-based inks, and our current favorite is the Chocolate Buddha card which features minimalist artwork of a serene Buddha meditating on the word chocolate (inside it explains that “the true meaning of life is not so hard to grasp afterall”). Yes, the card might be aimed a little more specifically at women, but it’ll please a range of people (we certainly know a few men who can really appreciate a good bar of the dark Madagascar variety).
