Earlier this week, we shared five great pairs of eco-friendly flip flops for women, but we can’t leave the green guys out! So beach bound men, meet Autonomie Projects’ Ethletic Flip Flop. With their sleek simple style you might mistake them for a pair of uber popular Havainanas at first glance. But Autonomie Project’s pair is more eco-friendly.
The Ethletic Flip Flop gets it’s name because of the company’s main mission: To provide stylish, sweatshop-free stuff that fits with your values–socially responsible, eco-friendly and so on. These sandals are 100 percent vegan. They’re made from 100 percent natural rubber that’s fairly traded and FSC-certified. All the workers at the facilities in Sri Lanka and Pakistan get paid a Fair Trade premium to help support community health and welfare projects. You’ve gotta love that a pair of flip flops can make such an impact!

If you’ve got a green thumb, why not cover it with a green garden glove? This pair of men’s garden and utility gloves are great for vegan gardeners. After all, why should animals be harmed just so we don’t get our hands dirty? Many gardening gloves are made out of leather, but this pair is made from Spandex and treated with Teflon to repel dirt and water. Not green materials by any means, but sometimes you need to choose what you think is the lesser of two evils.
These gloves have some pretty cool features, too. Gel pads on the thumb and fingers offers extra cushioning against blisters when the work is tough. The palms have a silicone pad for gripping. And when gardening in hot weather, you can turn down the terry cloth wrists, which double as a sweat band.
With your Vegan Gloves on your hands, be sure your garden grows the green way. Click here to read more

An organic t-shirt or an eco-friendly lip gloss might not be the first thing that attracts you to the hot guy or girl across the room, but it might factor in to how successful your relationship will be long term. So if you’re single and looking for a man or woman who could potentially live a sustainable lifestyle with you, it might might be time to ditch Match.com and sign up for EcoDater.com instead.
The just launched dating site aims to make eco-conscious love matches. The online dating community says it caters to all kinds of singles within the natural, holistic world–vegan, vegetarians, organic farmers, outdoor enthusiasts, yoga practitioners, hardcore environmentalists and more. Like most dating sites, you can use some features for free, but if you pay you’ll have access to more features. The cool thing here is that you can feel better about paying for dates because EcoDater will donate a portion of your membership fee to charities like the National Resources Defense Council, American Forest and the World Wildlife Fund.
