Energy-saving light bulbs or CFLs
Compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs), also known as compact fluorescent light bulbs, are energy-saving light bulbs designed to replace incandescent lamps. Compact fluorescent bulbs use less power to supply the same amount of light as incandescent lamps, thereby decreasing energy consumption and the environmental effects of electric power generation. Concern has been expressed about the disposal of CFL’s because of the mercury in them.
