Blackwater
Blackwater is a relatively recent term used to describe water containing fecal matter and urine. It is the wastewater from toilets, latrines, and privies, containing feces or body fluids, and wastewater containing significant food residues or high concentrations of toxic chemicals from household cleaners. It is also known as brown water, foul water, or sewage. This blackwater can seep into underground drinking water and can also ultimately end up in oceans.

Bisphenol-A is a hormone-disrupting chemical considered to be potentially harmful to human health and the environment. It has been known that scratched and worn polycarbonate feeding bottles will leach this chemical into liquids. See our Green Topic on BPA for more information.
