You should be going paper-free whenever possible in your office (e-mailing, e-faxing and calling instead), but for those other times, make sure you purchase only recycled paper. Recycled paper makes use of the plenitude of paper we already have available instead of relying on new trees alone. The key things to look for in recycled paper are high recycled content and low (to no) chlorine used in the bleaching process. We've got basic boxes of recycled paper for computer printing, as well as office extras like recycled paper towels and recycled business card paper. There are even recycled paper options for kids---recycled construction paper---and unusual eco-friendly papers made from elephant poo!

Recycled ContentRecycling is the reprocessing of old materials into new products, with the aims of preventing the waste of potentially useful materials, reducing the consumption of fresh raw materials, reducing energy usage, reducing air (from incineration) and water (from landfilling) pollution by reducing the need for "conventional" waste disposal, and lowering greenhouse gas emissions as compared to virgin production.
Post-consumer means any material that has been used by a consumer and then recycled for use in a new product. It is not the same as post-industrial waste, which is the reintroduction of manufacturing scraps into the manufacturing process.
