Reduce
The term reduce is used to denote a decrease in size, amount, extent, or number. Source reduction prevents the generation of waste and can be achieved by purchasing durable, long-lasting goods and buying products and packaging that are as free of toxins as possible. Redesigning products that use fewer raw materials in production, have a longer life, or can be used again after their original use is also a means of source reduction.
