Introducing the VentureOne, a revolutionary 3-wheel, tilting, plug-in Hybrid vehicle. This unique 2-passenger flex-fuel Hybrid vehicle is projected to achieve 100 miles per gallon, accelerate from 0-60 in about 7 seconds, and with a top speed of over 100 mph. The VentureOne will weigh approximately 1,500 pounds in prototype form, with an overall width of 52 inches, a length of 11' 8", and a 110 inch wheelbase. The engine will be located in the rear of the vehicle at a low height. The passenger compartment and the front wheel will tilt when cornering; however, the forces will be aligned with the vertical axis of the driver’s body, resulting in the driver being pressed into the seat rather than pushed across it. The VentureOne will have an enclosed body. The reinforced roll-cage construction in combination with front-and-side-impact protection, and a highly efficient passenger restraint system, give the occupants a level of protection comparable to conventional cars.

PROS:

The VentureOne offers either a gas/electric hybrid or an all-electric system. The VentureOne offers great environmentally-friendly performance, with over 100 mpg and a range of over 300 miles, all the while maintaining the ability to achieve a top speed of 100 mph and a 0-60 time of seven seconds. The motorcycle-vehicle hybrid is also not slacking on safety, featuring “side-impact rails” and “a steel role cage.” The glass cockpit offering nearly 360 degrees of visibility and a steering wheel that looks like it was pulled from a fighter jet certainly add to the appeal of the VentureOne hybrid vehicle.

CONS:

The price of the vehicle could prove to be a con, as the price tags of $20,000 for the gas/electric model and $25,000 for the all-electric model could prove to be a drawback for many consumers. The awkward look of the VentureOne teamed with its unprecedented driving style could also turn out to be factors that shoppers need some getting used to before the VentureOne sees a significant rise in its sales.
