Water Bottles

The average American consumes approximately 167 bottles of water every year. At $2.00 a bottle, that works out to a whopping $334.00 a year! The energy and resources put into manufacturing these bottles puts quite a dent in the environment as well. With a reusable water bottle and a water filtering system, you can spend significantly less money while still enjoying clean, filtered water at home or on the go.

Do the math

167 water bottles a year at $2.00 per bottle = $334.00

1 Brita pitcher at $24.00, 6 replacement filters per year at $8.00 per filter,1 BPA free Sigg reusable water bottle at $20.00, 7 unavoidable bottles of water at $2.00 per bottle = $112.00. What you'll miss

The money you spend on bottled water.

The convenience of disposability.

Drink to your health

Though many consumers around the globe purchase bottled water because their water supplies aren’t safe, we’re lucky enough to have clean drinking water on tap. In fact, most bottled water lacks fluoride, which is key in preventing tooth decay.

Brita filters reduce bad taste and odor, heavy metals like lead, fine solid particles like rust and sand, and organic impurities like pesticides. However, they do not remove fluoride from drinking water.

The Big Picture

Despite advances in recycling, plastic water bottles often become trash that takes about 700 years to even begin to decompose. In addition, raw materials are used and greenhouse gases are produced by the millions of gallons of fossil fuels that are burned in order to distribute bottled water around the country.

Astronomical amounts of energy saved and less stress on landfills.

Interesting fact-- If everyone in NYC gave up water bottles for one week, they would save 24 million bottles from being landfilled.
